Dear Martha,

We are so sorry to read your message like this since from our end the situation is not like this. Let me clarify the situation. First of all we are sorry that the size did not suit you, and ofcourse you could change it, as long as it is in unworn condition with no visible signs of use, which is stated in our Shop policy. If receiving a garment back which is in its original condition and you would like to change it, we pay for the additional shipping to ship out the new garment from our atelier, so in this way you pay for returning it and we pay for sending the new garment. We are an independent brand producing small scale and do not have high marginals on our prices as big commercial brands, and we think that is fair.

Regarding the packaging, we recommend to send back in the original packaging, to avoid waste of using other material and save resources, and we prefer if our biodegradable packaging is used so we can keep an environmentally friendly shipping throughout the customer journey. If it's not possible to send back using our original packaging because of your country restrictions or it was too destroyed or any other reason, ofcourse we would accept the return if arriving in another packaging. We have never rejected a return because it arrived in the wrong packaging and never informed that we will do so.

Unfortunately in your case we received the item back with visible signs of being worn, and for hygienic reason we cannot accept to take it back, which is clearly stated in our Shop Policy. For hygienic reason we could not sell such garment anywhere on any platform, so this would not be the right thing to do.

We already explained it to you and I ask for your understanding since we do everything we can to do what is right, and in this case we have to follow our policy strictly.

I am available for any further question under hello@anekdotboutique.com which will go to me personally, Sofie, the founder and designer.

Sincerely,
Sofie & the Anekdot team
