Summer Vacay

Back to the roots, dancing in the breeze and taking time to think, to wonder. The studio is closed from August 7 to August 21. The online shop is still open, the only difference is a little longer processing time for items made-to-order. Happy holi hoop!

Turning Ocean Trash Into Treasure

Here at Anekdot we get very excited when innovation is used to give mother earth a helping hand. So we are pleased to share our new partnership with Carvico and their Vita fabric. Made with Econyl, a 100% post-consumer waste polyamide yarn, this ingenious up-cycling system aims to combat ocean waste by collecting old fishing nets and other discarded nylons, and regenerating them into new nylon. The science behind this is pretty darn impressive, read more here. Oh and did we mention the material feels as soft as sunscreen?

Lace on the way!

Good news people – We have managed to source more of our two favourite black laces from factory surplus in the UK and Sri Lanka! Earth sets will be back in stock *yodeladyhoo*

Sourcing fabrics in Sri Lanka

Blown away of Sri Lanka – and the amount of goodness and pure beauty the country and its people have to give. Besides a suitcase full of handpicked excess fabrics and images of our upcoming swimwear capsule collection, we come back with extended cultural knowledge, inspiration, positive energy and a bunch of new friends. So happy to meet educated locals who face the challenge and creatively work towards a more sustainable future. Every action counts. Thanks to Lonali we got to know where to find unwanted luxury textiles and trims from local factories, and she also gave us some of her own supply. Looking forward to make new goodies of the fabrics sourced and let their stories continue.
